As a founding member of legendary ensemble Point of Grace, Heather Payne has one of the premiere voices in contemporary Christian music. Her remarkable range, honest delivery, and effortless power are the unique characteristics with which God has gifted her and by which He is glorified. Heather has an extraordinary passion for serving and worshiping the Lord Jesus and she is living out His calling not only by serving Him through music, but also striving diligently to be a godly wife and mother.
Heather currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband, Brian, who serves as pastor of First Baptist Church of Fisherville and professor of Expository Preaching and Systematic Theology at Boyce College at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brian and Heather have four children, Ella, Nate, Seth, and Ava who were part of the inspiration for her first solo album, Sweet Exchange. Heather tells of her 3-year-old singing Holy, Holy, Holy like only a toddler can: “Ho-wy, Ho-wy, Ho-wy!” Teaching her children classic hymns while making them accessible for a new generation merged with a goal to give the church a new worship tool, and Sweet Exchanged was the result. Stepping out on her own with Sweet Exchange, Heather hopes to bridge the gap between the generations in our churches with these new twists on familiar hymns, “that the body of Christ would be edified and lifted up and brought to the places of gratefulness for what God has done for them in Christ.”
